From Dubuque Iowa take highway 11 east to Hazel Green WI. Go straight across Highway 80. Hwy 11 turns into County W. Take it to the bar. From Galena take highway 84-80 into Hazel Green WI. Turn right onto county road W and take it to the bar. You may also take Dewey avenue out the back way of Galena and go east on Council Hill road (same as Dewey avenue). Take it all the way to North road and then turn left. Stay on north road into WI and you will come to a Y in the road. Go to the right and follow it to New Diggings. From Chicago take any road you want they all lead to The Diggs. Most people take I-90 west to 20 west bypass to Freeport, Cherry Valley. Stay on the 20 bypass all the way to highway 78 and then turn right and go north to Warren Illinois. Go thru warren or stop at Wally World, yes it is a bar, or Gasoline Alley to pee and then have a beer. Get back on route 78. When you enter Wisconsin County Road W will split off to the left. Get on W and take it to the tavern. Total drive time approx. two and a half to three hours. For all of our overseas guests Fly into Dubuque Airport and find someone who needs a beer and they will take you to the tavern.
